The Browning X-Bolt Stalker is built for the rigors of hunting from the synthetic stock to the Recoil Hawg muzzle brake. Capable of exceptional accuracy the X-Bolt Stalker features a glass-bedded action and free-floated barrel with a polished chamber. The 26" Heavy Sport contour barrel has a 5/8"-24 TPI Recoil Hawg muzzle brake which helps reduce perceived recoil with the .308 Win cartridge by 77%. To further reduce perceived recoil and improve shooter comfort and accuracy, the X-Bolt Stalker has an adjustable Inflex 1 recoil pad which redirects recoil energy down and away from your face and an adjustable comb for the optimal cheek weld. The steel receiver is drilled and tapped for the Browning X-Lock scope mounting system which uses 4 screws instead of 2 screws for consistency. A Bolt Unlock Button is integrated into the polished, high gloss finish, bolt which allows you check the condition of the rifle while the tang-mounted safety is still engaged. The short 60 degree bolt throw is fast cycling and allows for quick loading without interference from the scope. The Browning Feather Trigger is the heart of accuracy with the X-Bolt Stalker. Clean, crisp, no take-up and minimal overtravel gives the Feather Trigger a superior feel. With an adjustable trigger pull weight from 3 to 5 lbs you can find the pull weight that best meets your needs. The trigger is pre-set at approximately 3.5 lbs at the factory. A 4-round detachable rotary magazine feeds your cartridges directly into the chamber without the left/right offset found in traditional magazines. The magazine sets flush with the stock for a sleek look. The X-Bolt Stalker is short on "flash" and long on performance.
